Areas of responsibility:Reference and Library Instruction
As the library liaison to the Philosophy and Psychology departments, I am available to help students and faculty in those departments with their research needs, whether in the classroom, at the reference desk, or by appointment. I am available for individual or small group consultations, and can conduct workshops and training sessions as well. I can also be found working at the Reference Desk throughout the week.
As the Data Services Librarian, I help to coordinate Reed College's Data Services Team, which includes staff from the Library, Academic Support Services, and Instructional Technology Services. I am responsible for making sure the library is successfully supporting the curriculum and research needs of students, faculty, and staff as they relate to data. I am available for individual and small group consultation, as well as workshops and training sessions on the topics of data discovery, data management plans, data analysis/visualization, data preservation/curation, and data literacy. I can also refer students, faculty, and staff to appropriate members of the Data Services Team based on their needs.
I am around the library and on IM all the time during the week. You can find me on the reference desk, during Spring 2015, from 4-5pm on Tuesdays, 11am-1pm on Wednesdays, and 2-3pm on Fridays. You can also find out when I am free and easily make an appointment to meet with me by visitng my YouCanBookMe page.
