Reference and Library Instruction

Special Collections and Archives contain informative, surprising, and delightful items, and I can help you find and use materials that may illustrate or contribute to your research.

I am also happy to answer any questions about the use or accessibility of any Special Collections or Archives item or collection, bring special items for classroom use, or provide space for smaller classes to consult material here, such as Diderot's "Encyclopedie", artists' books or a show-and-tell potpourri representative of our holdings.

I participate in the library's Personal Librarian program and offer help to first-year students with any research involving the library and its collections.

We welcome students who want to look at old Quests, original theses, or the correspondence of the Beat poets, for example. Find your thesis topic here!
