Electronic Theses Help

Terms of Access

Access to the Reed etheses archive is currently restricted to the Reed community. Students can opt to make their theses viewable by the general public if we offer that in the future. If you wish to change the terms of access for your theses (e.g. from Reed-access-only to pubic, or vice versa) you can email us at etheses@lists.reed.edu and we will change your thesis status.

For more information consult the Copyright Help for Theses guide or contact a reference librarian for help.

Creating a PDF of Your Thesis

If you have not already created a PDF of your thesis you should do so now. Sorry, but we can’t accept Word documents.

Instructions for Mac and Windows are available here.
Additional help with Windows PDFCreator is available here.

Creating a Zip File of Your Accompanying Materials

You don’t need to zip the PDF of your thesis; if you are not submitting accompanying digital files, you can skip this step.

Zipping your accompanying file(s) will compress them and create a zip file that is smaller in size. You will need to create a zip file even if you are just submitting one single accompanying file.
