Note: Public computers will automatically log off if idle for 20 minutes.
Fourteen Windows computers in the North and South Reference Room with resources that include:
- Word and Excel 2003
- PDF Creator
- Library catalog access
- Internet access
- SSH & SFTP clients
- CDRW / DVD combo drives
North Reference room PCs print to a queue of three duplex printers in the same area. South Reference room PCs print to a duplex printer nearby. There is also a color printer you can print to in L-139 (note that color printing costs more).
Eight coursework PCs and ten Macs in the southeast Reading Room. Their resources include:
- Word and Excel
- Library catalog access
- Internet access
- SSH & SFTP clients
- CDRW / DVD combo drives
These computers can print to duplex printers in the adjacent printer/copier room L-153, or the color printer in the South Reference area. Alternatively, they can also print to printers in the North and South Reference areas.

Over twenty iMacs in the IMC with the same resources as mentioned above, and also special language and music applications
Several Catalog-only "kiosks" throughout the library. These stand up kiosks provide access to the Reed College Library's and Summit's catalogs. Printing to the attached printers is free.
