The library hold shelf is now in the library lobby for contactless pickup. When you request a Reed, Summit, or ILL item, they'll get checked out to you, then put into an envelope on the hold shelf alphabetically by preferred last name. The Library Lobby is open for students daily 7am-11pm, and 24 hours/day for faculty and staff.

Summit and ILL borrowing return

August 3, 2020

Summit and ILL (InterLibrary Loan) borrowing for books and physical materials resumes Monday, August 3. These library services are how you can get books and other resources that we don’t have at Reed. Learn more.

Due to staffing limitations at other libraries, some Summit and ILL requests may take longer than usual to arrive or might get canceled. If you receive a request cancellation notice, please contact your subject librarian about finding alternative sources.

Mail delivery available

For students and faculty outside the Portland metro area use the “Ship to – provide address in comment”. Please enter a full address in the comment box and we will ship you those materials via USPS media mail within 24 hours. For international deliveries email library-circ@reed.edu.
