Lloyd Reynolds Demonstrating Calligraphic Letterforms

Lloyd Reynolds, a professor of creative writing, English, art history, and graphic design, began teaching calligraphy at Reed College in the 1940s. In 1949, the college offered the first for-credit calligraphy course. Here, Reynolds demonstrates a calligraphic letterform to a class sometime in the 1950s.
