Correspondence between Sumner Stone and Lloyd Reynolds

As director of typography at Adobe Systems in the 1990s, graphic designer Sumner Stone helped create some of the most influential and enduring typefaces to grace computer screens. Stone studied with Lloyd Reynolds and graduated from Reed College in 1967. Stone has said, "Reynolds was an incredibly charismatic teacher, and his interests were somewhat broader than the traditional academic program of Reed at that time. He was willing to talk about religion and spirituality. The classes were a window on the relationship between visual arts and culture in a very broad sense." This undated item is a piece of correspondence, presumably from Sumner Stone to Lloyd Reynolds.
