Pacific Fishery Resources: Salmons

The pages above are an excerpt from a report titled “Fishery Resources of the United States,” which was written by the Department of the Interior and published by the Government Printing Office in 1945. The report was presented to the first session of the 79th Congress. The report details fishery resources across the United States, but this except details salmon in the Pacific Northwest, highlighting several locations along the Columbia River. Like other publications of this era, the report included information regarding the impact of dams on fish and fish migration.
