Downstream Power Benefits of the Hungry Horse Project

The graphic above is from a report titled "And More and More and More," written by Lawrence W. Werner in the 1960s. The visual displays power generation capabilities from dams on the Columbia River, and shows the power generation increase from the addition of Hungry Horse Project in Montana. The report was part of a collection of papers and records from Charles McKinley's time on the Bonneville Dam and Pacific Northwest Regional Planning Commission. McKinley was a political science professor at Reed from 1918 to 1960, and was active in civic, governmental, and academic work in Portland and nationally throughout his career.
