Primary Source Sets

Larry M. Kuehn, Reed College '66, was interviewed by Ariel S.J. Mieling, Reed College '05, on February 28, 2009. Kuehn gave an oral history of his time at Reed, speaking about the food in Commons and the food fights that took place. Kuehn also spoke about the transition from Old Commons to New Commons. Old Commons was housed in the Student Union building until New Commons was built in 1965, the year before Kuehn graduated. Kuehn also talked about the Sunday night dinners he and his friends organized off-campus. He recalled his experiences trying new foods in Portland with his friends as well as fond memories from his time at Reed.
