Multiple Regression Analysis from the Oregon Reading Study

The Oregon Reading Study took place from 1970 to 1971. Kathrine French led the study, which investigated the impact of several demographic factors on reading performance in different grades (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). The study relied on 1500 children drawn from a sample of 3200 pregnancies. A sampling of the independent variables includes race, income, maternal education, reading materials at home, maternal religion, maternal age, and maternal attitudes toward reading. While a few commands in Stata will quickly result in regression results today, Kathrine French's methods likely took a bit longer.
