Talented and Gifted Programs

The table above is taken from a 1970s study by Ann R. Eisenberg and William C. George titled "Early Entrance to College: The Johns Hopkins Experience Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth (SMPY)." The paper was included in Reed's own considerations of its early entrance program for high school students, the Talented and Gifted Program at Reed. There was correspondence between Kathleen Bowman, Assistant to the President of Reed, and Julian C. Stanley, one of the psychology professors at Johns Hopkins who led the study. In their correspondence, Stanley appeared to express interest in Reed's Talented and Gifted Program.
