Library computers, printers, scanners


Mac laptops are available for checkout from the Instructional Media Center (IMC) and the PARC.

Mac desktop computers are available in North Reference room and the Gates Reading Room on the main level of the library. More Macs are available in the IMC and PARC.

Library printers are available for current students. Print from your own computer or a library desktop.

Printing at Reed costs 5¢ a side for black and white and 30¢ a side for color. All first-years, sophomores, and juniors are given a $25 allotment for printing. Seniors are given $45.

An overhead book scanner (BookEye scanner) is available near the reference rooms, across from Stair A. Flatbed scanners are available in the IMC. All photocopiers can be used to scan without charge.


Photocopiers are available on the Library Main Level (ML), Lower Level 1 (LL1), and the IMC (LL1). All photocopiers can be used to scan. "Library-Main-Floor-Copier" or "Library-South-Stacks-Copier" can be used for color or black and white printing.
